With the Increase of Offshore Activities in the Pre-Salt of the City, Maricá is Already Considered the “El Dorado” of Oil
Maricá, a city located in the Petrópolis region of Rio de Janeiro, has just received a gift that is coveted by many municipalities, the construction and installation of the Ponta Negra Port Terminal. The agreement was signed by the city hall and DTA Engenharia at the Cine Teatro Henfil, which will generate massive labor in the city and a branched and diversified economic injection due to pre-salt activities.
The official communication vehicles of the municipality inform that there will be labor registrations through the Secretary of Industry and Port. Part of the revenue generated from pre-salt activities will go to a municipal qualification fund, which will be invested in free qualification programs or discounts on paid courses, in partnership with the FIES program, only for areas related to port activities.
