According to jcconcursos, the Brazilian Navy announced the opening of registrations for the public competition for the Technical Staff of the Armada (QTPA). This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a solid and well-paid career in the Armed Forces. Various positions are available for professionals with a technical high school education, ready to work in the operation and maintenance of submarines, as well as nuclear installations.

Exams and Stages of the Contest

However, the first phase of the contest is scheduled for September 15 and will consist of an objective exam with 50 multiple-choice questions on professional knowledge, in addition to a writing test. The exams will be held in 20 different cities, including:

  • Rio de Janeiro, Angra dos Reis, Nova Friburgo, and São Pedro da Aldeia (RJ);
  • São Paulo and Santos (SP);
  • Rio Grande and Porto Alegre (RS);
  • Brasília (DF);
  • Vila Velha (ES);
  • Belo Horizonte (MG);
  • Salvador (BA);
  • Natal (RN);
  • Olinda (PE);
  • Fortaleza (CE);
  • Belém (PA);
  • São Luís (MA);
  • Florianópolis (SC);
  • Ladário (MS);
  • Manaus (AM).

In addition, the other phases of the selection include health inspection, physical fitness test, psychological evaluation, and verification of biographical data/documents. The start of the course is scheduled for June 30, 2025.

Details of the Public Contest

The positions are intended for candidates of both sexes, aged between 18 and 25 years until June 30, 2025. Interested candidates must have a technical education in one of the following areas:

  • Electro-electronics: 5 positions
  • Mechanics: 6 positions

Therefore, during the training course, which will take place at the Admiral Alexandrino Instruction Center (CIAA) in Rio de Janeiro, the approved candidates will receive a remuneration of R$ 1,414. After graduation, the salary as a third sergeant will be R$ 3,825, in addition to extras.
