Federal Institute Opens Thousands of Spots in Fast, Free, In-Person Courses Starting This October, Nationally Recognized Certificates and Simplified Selection Process by Order of Enrollment.
The Federal Institute of Southern Minas (IFSULDEMINAS), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, opened 2,190 spots in 90 free professional qualification courses.
The training has a workload of 50 hours, will be entirely in-person, and offers nationally recognized certification.
This initiative is part of the Capacita em Rede project, which reaches 44 municipalities across 11 regions in Brazil, increasing access to short-term professional education.

Courses Start This October
Classes are scheduled to begin on October 27, 2025, with a calendar defined by each participating city.
The schedule includes daily meetings in various shifts, allowing participation from those already in the job market or looking for reemployment.
Diversity of Areas and Opportunities
The qualification options cover sectors such as health and personal care, technology, industry, administration, and food production.
There are entry-level courses, such as Administrative Assistant and Individual Microentrepreneur, as well as technical training in Low Voltage Building Electrician, Construction Painter, and Basic Tailor.
In the care field, there are classes for Child Caregiver, Elderly Caregiver, Manicurist and Pedicurist, and Makeup, while in the digital field, offers include Introduction to Digital Marketing.
For activities related to the rural area, the list includes Community Garden and Seedling Production.
Examples of Classes in Different States
In Minas Gerais, the announcement includes courses in Nepomuceno (Child Caregiver), Marmelópolis (Elderly Caregiver), Boa Esperança (Community Garden and Seedling Production), and São Tomé das Letras (Digital Marketing).
In Porto Velho (RO), there will be training in areas such as Portuguese for Foreigners, Warehouse Clerk, Building Electrician, Manicurist and Pedicurist, and Administrative Assistant.
Each class has, on average, 25 spots, always linked to partner institutions such as schools, community associations, and local training centers.

Certification and Academic Criteria
To ensure certification, participants must meet a minimum attendance of 75% and achieve performance equal to or greater than 60%.
It is also necessary to complete the institutional evaluation at the end of the course.
The document emphasizes that the opening of each class depends on the filling of available spots.
Who Can Participate
The requirements vary according to the chosen training.
In general, you must have incomplete elementary education and a minimum age of 16 years.
However, courses in the health area require complete high school education and age from 18 years.
In all cases, presenting valid CPF and identity document is mandatory.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be classified according to the order of enrollment, without the application of exams or interviews.
This means that those who enroll first, as long as they meet the requirements of the announcement, secure a spot.
In case of unfilled spots, the institute may conduct additional calls.
How to Enroll
Enrollment is free and must be done exclusively online until October 10, 2025, through the IFSULDEMINAS Enrollment System. The list of selected candidates will be published on October 11, 2025 on the institution’s portal.
