The bypass of Jaraguá do Sul is nearing 70% completion, a fundamental milestone for the duplication of the highway in SC. The latest update released by the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) indicates a measurement of 67.4% in the duplication lot of BR-280, consolidating the progress of the road infrastructure in the northern region of Santa Catarina. With a significant investment of R$ 977 million, this segment is among the most relevant of the project and is expected to undergo new adjustments throughout this year.
The duplication of the highway in SC, which began in 2014, has had its contract extended several times and now has a valid deadline until 2025. Given the volume of work and the challenges faced over the years, experts believe that further extensions may be announced.
So far, R$ 658 million have been spent, ensuring notable progress, such as the construction of the 1 km double tunnel, an essential structure for optimizing mobility and safety for drivers traveling through the stretch.
