AVAMEC, the virtual learning environment of the Ministry of Education (MEC), is an online system that allows for the design and management of distance learning courses. Developed by the Basic Education Secretariat (SEB) of MEC in partnership with the Laboratory of Information Technology and Educational Media (LabTIME) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), the tool is part of the Connected Education program, which primarily focuses on encouraging the pedagogical use of digital technologies in basic education.
The platform offers courses such as literacy practices, the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC), school management, information technology, and computational thinking.
