Brazil Makes Its Presence Felt on the Global Nuclear Energy Stage

Brazil, represented by Celso Cunha, president of the Brazilian Association for the Development of Nuclear Activities (ABDAN), is heading to one of the most important events in the nuclear sector, the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) in Paris. This meeting, scheduled for November 2023, is a milestone for the nuclear industry, bringing together experts, business leaders, and renowned authorities from around the world. Brazil’s presence at the WNE is crucial for boosting growth and solidifying the country’s role in the global nuclear industry, seeking sustainable energy solutions.

Brazilian Leadership Toward Nuclear Innovation

The Brazilian delegation, led by Celso Cunha, includes representatives from significant companies such as Amazul, Andrade Gutierrez, Atech, and others. The focus is on sharing knowledge and promoting vital discussions for the safe and sustainable development of the nuclear sector. This mission represents a significant step for Brazil, highlighting its commitment to advancing nuclear energy as a clean and renewable energy source.

Strategic Partnerships and International Networking

The trip to the WNE, enriched by partnerships with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other French entities, includes a series of events beyond the fair. A highlight is the networking event at the Brazilian Embassy in Paris, where Brazilian and French companies will have the opportunity to strengthen business relationships and explore new business opportunities. Visits to important facilities such as Framatome are also part of the agenda, providing a comprehensive view of the nuclear sector.

The Vital Role of Brazil in the Global Nuclear Scenario

With nuclear plants in operation and a robust nuclear program, Brazil is a key player on the world nuclear stage. “Participating in the WNE is affirming our commitment to the sustainable development of nuclear energy,” highlights Cunha. Ricardo Serra, from Egis, also emphasizes the importance of this participation in strengthening the Brazilian nuclear industry and sharing innovative solutions in nuclear engineering and project management.

Beyond the Nuclear Industry: Expanding Horizons

Brazil’s presence at the WNE goes beyond the boundaries of the nuclear industry. This participation will allow Brazil to establish valuable connections, share experiences, and open doors to business opportunities. “International collaboration is essential for the ongoing progress of the nuclear sector, and Brazil’s presence will strengthen our global position,” states Cunha.

The WNE: A Stage for Innovation and Global Partnerships

The 5th edition of the WNE, the largest to date, will bring together around 600 participants from around the world, covering the entire nuclear supply chain. This event will showcase the brightest minds in the sector, focused on the current energy challenges. “ABDAN views this opportunity as a moment to highlight Brazilian innovation and demonstrate our excellence to the international nuclear community,” concludes the association.

About the WNE

The World Nuclear Exhibition is a benchmark event for the civil nuclear industry, bringing together over 600 exhibitors, including 40% international participants, and covering a wide range of activities within the sector. The WNE stands out for presenting major French and international companies in the industry, as well as numerous innovative startups.
