Job Openings At MODEC
Maintenance Reliability Engineer & CMMS Governance – Rio de Janeiro (Hybrid / Guyana)
At MODEC, this professional will be responsible for executing the preventive and predictive maintenance plan, analyzing KPIs, participating in internal and external audits, and preparing technical recommendations.
Additionally, they will monitor safety barriers and CMMS governance, ensuring that maintenance strategies are implemented in accordance with the company’s regulatory and corporate guidelines.
For this position, it is necessary to have a complete degree in Engineering, an active CREA, advanced Portuguese proficiency, intermediate English (fluency will be considered a plus), and intermediate knowledge of the Office Suite.
Also, basic knowledge of CMMS is required, with SAP being preferred, as well as basic knowledge of Power BI.
Combined Cycle Specialist – Guyana (On-site)
If approved for this job opening, the professional will work on the development and execution of maintenance and inspection plans for combined cycle and steam power generation systems, monitoring KPIs and assessing equipment criticality, directly contributing to the safety and performance of the fleet.
They will also support BID/EPCI processes and activities related to the pre-operation period.
Occasional onboard trips may be required depending on operational demand.
For this role, a complete degree in Engineering, active CREA, advanced Portuguese, and intermediate English are required, with fluency being a plus.
Intermediate knowledge of the Office Suite and basic knowledge of CMMS is also necessary, preferably with experience in SAP, along with basic knowledge of Power BI.
Integrity Supervisor – Rio de Janeiro (On-site)
The professional will be responsible for managing inspections, cleanings, and repairs of tanks, structures, and equipment, acting as a liaison between the Integrity team and the Offshore Marine Superintendent at MODEC.
They will also supervise third-party activities, ensuring compliance with HSSE standards, national and international regulations, along with monitoring risks and reporting any anomalies identified during operations.
For this function, a technical or complete degree in Engineering is preferred, especially in Naval or Mechanical Engineering, with an active CFT/CREA.
Specific courses in inspection of structures or equipment will be considered a plus, as will IRATA Levels 1, 2, or 3, MPI, DPI, UTM, or EC certifications.
Additionally, advanced Portuguese, intermediate English proficiency (fluency is a plus), intermediate knowledge of the Office Suite, and basic knowledge of CMMS, preferably with experience in SAP, are required.
Engine Room Supervisor – Rio de Janeiro (On-site)
This position involves supervising the maintenance and operation of all equipment in the engine room, coordinating the technical team, monitoring alarms, and performing preventive rounds to ensure the proper functioning of the systems.
The professional must ensure that all operations are conducted according to the procedures established by MODEC and aligned with international standards, maintaining high levels of performance and reliability.
To perform this role, prior experience in the area, a complete High School education, STCW III/1 or III/2 certification, and advanced English are required.
Laboratory Technician – Rio de Janeiro (On-site)
At MODEC, the technician will be responsible for performing physical and chemical analyses of process samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and applying wet chemistry techniques, ensuring reliable results in accordance with the FPSO unit’s procedures.
For this role, a complete technical course in Chemistry, prior experience in FPSO, and a valid CRQ registration are required.
