Brendon Rodrigues, head of innovation at ValeCard, attributes this stabilization in gasoline prices to ethanol, which is becoming more economically attractive. However, he warns of potential changes in the coming weeks due to Petrobras adjustments and fluctuations in the oil market.
Ethanol and Its Competitiveness
During the same week, hydrated ethanol, widely used as fuel, also saw a reduction of 0.07%. Rodrigues comments that this decline is linked to the increase in sugarcane production, influencing the entire production chain of the fuel.
For owners of flex vehicles, the decision between filling up with gasoline or ethanol is crucial. According to ValeCard’s standards, ethanol is financially advantageous when its price per liter is up to 70% of the price of gasoline.
Rise in Diesel Prices
Finally, diesel, an essential fuel for cargo transportation in the country, saw an increase of 0.54% in its price. Rio Grande do Sul offered the most affordable diesel, while Roraima had the highest price.
Conclusion
With the constant variation in fuel prices, drivers need to stay alert to fluctuations and the economic benefits of each option. The research and analyses from ValeCard prove essential for understanding the market and making more informed choices when fueling our vehicles.
