According to Invillia’s CEO, Renato Bolzan, in a press release, while other companies in the IT sector are discussing the lack of engineers and programmers and the possibility of a blackout in the sector as early as next year (2022), Invillia is trying to tackle this problem differently: the lack of opportunity to welcome and develop those who think differently and want to “take risks.” A deficit of the IT companies themselves, not of the market as a whole.

The multinational aims to attract incredibly talented IT professionals through its “Hello Strangers” initiative, focusing on professionals who are misunderstood in their current jobs and passionate about innovation. The CEO also states that many of these talented minds are tired of always following the same path, and it is important for them to know that there is an option where no one feels out of place.

The shortage of professionals in the sector could reach 260,000 by 2024, according to a report from the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies.

The increase in demand for professionals in this sector is due to the social isolation that occurred during the pandemic, forcing digitalization and investments in remote work.

Brazil is a country that suffers from a lack of labor in technology, and the widespread shortage of professionals in the IT sector could pose a certain obstacle to business strategy development.
