Unlike gasoline and ethanol, which fell by 10,22% and 6,33%, respectively, in the first days of the month diesel only increased

According to data from the latest survey of the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), referring to the first half of July, the price of a liter of common diesel increased by 5,39% at fuel pumps in the country, compared to the end of June, and ended the period with an average price of R$ 7,82. The S-10 type, sold at R$7,93, increased by 5,34% for Brazilian drivers.

“Unlike gasoline and ethanol, which fell by 10,22% and 6,33%, respectively, in these first days of the month, diesel only increased. No State or region in the country recorded a reduction in the price of the two types, but increases of up to 8,69%, like the S-10 type sold in the Federal District, according to the latest survey by Ticket Log”, highlights Douglas Pina , Director General of Mainstream of the Fleet and Mobility Division of Edenred Brasil.

In the regional analysis, the North stood out with the highest averages in the country for both types of diesel. The common rate in the region closed the period at R$ 8,10, with an increase of 5,21%; and the S-10 type was traded at R$8,22, up 5,54%. As in June, the lowest averages were registered at gas stations in the South, at R$ 7,41 for the common and R$ 7,51 for the S-10, both with an increase of 5,66% in the price.

In the highlights by State, Roraima sold the most expensive common diesel in the country, at R$ 8,50, and with the biggest increase in relation to the previous month (8,59%). The lowest average for this fuel was identified in Rio Grande do Sul, at R$ 7,40, even with an increase of 6,34%. 

Amapá has the most expensive fuel in all of Brazil

The most expensive S-10 diesel in the entire national territory was registered at the supply pumps in Amapá, at R$ 8,61, up 5,34% compared to June. The lowest price for this type of diesel was identified at stations in Santa Catarina, at R$ 7,49, with an increase of 5,18%.

The IPTL is a fuel price index based on fueling carried out at the 21 accredited Ticket Log stations, which is highly reliable due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: 1 million in all, with an average of eight transactions per second.
