New gas discovery in South America takes Venezuela to 300.9 BILLION barrels, surpassing Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Iraq, and leaving the Middle East in the dust! — Hugo Chávez Oil Belt — an area stretching approximately 55,000 square kilometers along the Orinoco River, between the regions of Anzoátegui, Monagas, Delta Amacuro, and Guárico

Most of Venezuela’s resources are located in the Hugo Chávez Oil Belt in the southeast of the country, concentrating about 279.1 billion barrels. Significant reserves are spread across the states of Zulia and Falcon in the northwest, and Barinas and Apure in the southwest.

The growing capacity of Venezuela to expand its production, with the goal of exceeding one million barrels a day in 2024 – reinforces the country’s influence over global oil prices and supply, giving even more weight to the new gas discovery in South America.

However, Venezuela’s advancement is not without obstacles. Political tensions, including reactivated sanctions by the United States, bring uncertainties to the country’s energy future.

In response, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez suggested a reevaluation of cooperation with Washington, while President Nicolás Maduro announced agreements with about 20 investors to diversify trade partners and circumvent external pressures.

New Global Energy Hub

For South America, this new phase for Venezuela may consolidate the continent as a new global energy hub. The new gas discovery in South America, combined with already proven reserves, could transform the region into a crucial player in the oil and gas supply, displacing traditional centers and redefining the geopolitical energy map.

Se os EUA não tivesse dado embargo na Venezuela, a querida estaria maior que a arábia saudita em questões financeiras, mas por vontade do **** mercado em querer sempre manter os preços altos, encheu de embargo e hoje nem a própria população venezuelana se organiza pra se confiarem entre si e terem um país digno, acredito que eles tenham muito potencial, falta organização.
