Pickup Debuts in Lariat Black and Tremor Versions with Up to R$ 10,000 Discount and More Technology
Ford surprised the market this Tuesday (27) by officially launching the Maverick 2026 pickup in Brazil. The new lineup arrives with two versions — Lariat Black and Tremor — and lower prices compared to the previous model: starting at R$ 219,900, a drop of R$ 10,000. The automaker’s strategy directly targets the competition from RAM Rampage and Fiat Toro, which will have a mild hybrid version in the second half, according to the website Vrum.
What Changed in the Maverick 2026 Pickup?
Despite still being equipped with the already known 2.0 EcoBoost engine with 253 hp, the major evolution of this version of Ford’s pickup lies in its revised design and technological refinement. The look is more modern with more squared front headlights, a redesigned and cleaner front grille, in addition to 18-inch diamond-cut wheels (exclusive to the Lariat Black version) and taillights with a new design.
Inside the Ford pickup, the highlight is the new SYNC 4 multimedia system, which includes a generous 13.2-inch screen, an 8” digital instrument panel, connectivity with the FordPass app, and even an electric sunroof. All of this reinforces the proposal to combine robust performance with comfort, sophistication, and connectivity for daily use.

Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood, the model remains equipped with the reliable 2.0 EcoBoost turbo engine, delivering 253 horsepower and a torque of 38.7 kgfm, ensuring quick responses and consistent accelerations. The 4×4 on-demand traction provides more safety and performance on different types of terrain, while the 8-speed automatic transmission contributes to a smooth and efficient driving experience.
When it comes to fuel consumption, the numbers are competitive for the category: about 8.5 km/l in the city and 11.4 km/l on the highway, balancing sporty performance with fuel efficiency.
Ford makes it clear that it wants to regain space among mid-size pickups, targeting the RAM Rampage, which already has a hybrid version — and the Fiat Toro, which will soon have MHEV powertrain.
With more technology, competitive pricing, and a refreshed look, the Maverick 2026 arrives to show that the competition is just beginning.
