July begins with great news for Macaé. The company Aeromaster Taxi Aéreo, part of the Go Air Group, is establishing itself in the city to operate offshore flights and contribute to the logistics chain of oil and gas. This information was announced by Southeast Airports of Brazil (ASeB), from the Swiss group Zurich Airport.

The company confirms solid investments in Macaé, naturally due to its industrial history and strategic location. These benefits are expected to generate jobs and income once it is fully operational.

Official Statement from ASeB Regarding the Operator’s Establishment in Macaé

“Macaé Airport has established another successful partnership and will now have a new Offshore operator. The airport was chosen by Aeromaster Taxi Aéreo, part of the Go Air Group, to host its base in the region and promises investments in the sector that will benefit both the base and the city as a whole.”

“The group has already started the works for the renovation and expansion of a hangar at the airport, which will enable even more complete solutions.”

“ASeB has been working since it took over the airport concession in December 2019 to achieve and promote improvements like this, which enhance Macaé as a national reference in the segment.”

It is also worth mentioning that the works for the Malrim Azul Thermoelectric Plant in the city were resumed in June, and there is an option to leave a resume at thesite entrance for future or potential job opportunities.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis in Macaé, most offshore operations and other non-essential activities in the oil and gas chain were temporarily suspended. This situation is beginning to reverse, with some outsourced companies in the sector resuming hiring, see some of the latest here.
