With Investments Of US$14 Million, The New Technology Center Will Be Developed To Provide Aviation Services Worldwide And Will Generate Various Job Opportunities In The Area
The global supplier of jet engines, components, and systems for commercial and military aircraft GE Aerospace, reported last Wednesday that it is developing a new site aimed at the development of inspection and repair technologies, which will be used in aviation service shops around the world and will create several job openings, according to the website Aeroin.
GE plans to invest US$ 14 million and, as a result, generate about 50 salaried jobs in the next two years at its Services Technology Acceleration Center (STAC), located in Springdale, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States.
According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, the 85,000 square-foot (7,896 square meters) site where the aviation STAC will be located used to house the former headquarters of the cosmetics company Avon.

New Center Aimed At Developing Technologies And Engine Services
The STAC facility will be dedicated to the development of engine service technologies and work processes, allowing collaboration between engineering and manufacturing and generating jobs in this area as well.
Teams will work together to demonstrate technology deployment readiness before scaling it for use in service shops, accelerating the market entry of new ideas.
“This investment is a testament to GE’s ongoing commitment to enhancing our leading services technology portfolio,” said Russell Stokes, President and CEO of Commercial Engines and Services at GE Aerospace.
“We are creating a new space dedicated to the development of automation and robotics technologies that we can distribute in our service maintenance, repair, and overhaul shops at different scales and speeds,” added Stokes.
Utilization Of Technology Space
The Technology Center facility in the 85,000 square-foot space will also be used as a training center for many of these state-of-the-art service technologies, as well as a customer education center for GE Aerospace, also generating several jobs in the aviation sector.
