New call for tenders for the 2023 Navy is launched, with a salary of BRL 9

The Brazilian Navy recently released the announcement of the 2023 public tender for filling the Complementary Staff of Officers, offering a total of 10 vacancies for marine officers, intendants and naval officers.

the basic requirements for those interested in applying for the position include the completion of a relative higher education to the profession being applied for or being concluded by the date of enrollment in the course, in addition to being younger than 29 years old by January 2024.

Compensation and benefits in the Navy tender

Applicants approved in all stages of the Navy competition, as per the announcement, will be sent to the course, which begins with an adaptation period (AP) that lasts about three weeks and a curricular stage. During the course, the “midship guard” will receive a remuneration of BRL 9.070,60, BRL 7.315 for the military soldier, BRL 1.389,85 for the additional military, and BRL 365,75 relating to additional compensation for military availability.

Approved officers will still be entitled to benefits such as food, uniform, medical-dental, psychological, social and religious assistance, in accordance with the public notice published. During the Officer Training Course (CFO), the “midship” will do an Officer Application Internship (EAO) with different durations for each modality, 1 week for the QC-CA, 3 weeks for the QC-IM, and 10 weeks for the QC-FN.

Stages of the Navy Contest

Candidates for the competition for naval officers will be evaluated through an objective test of Professional Knowledge and English, writing, and complementary events. The last part will consist of the following steps: verification of biographical data, health approval, physical classification test (TAF), proof of titles, psychological evaluation and verification of documents.

The Navy has already set the date for the written tests for the contest, which will take place on August 27 of this year. The estimates will consist of an objective test and a writing test, both with a maximum duration of four hours. Candidates will have to answer 50 questions, 40 of them about Professional Knowledge and 10 about English. It is important to remember that the part of professional knowledge varies according to the Bachelor's Course chosen by the candidate.

The writing provided for in the notice of the contest will be carried out on the same day and the theme will be disclosed at the time of the test. To have his writing evaluated, the candidate must write a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 lines. The evaluation criteria as stated in the public notice include structure and content, coordination and analysis, title and subject, and expression. It is important that candidates are prepared to demonstrate their writing and argumentation skills.

Entries in the contest and public notice released

Registration for the selection process of the Navy will be open between the 07th and the 25th of June, through the official website of the Navy, CLICKING HERE. The value of the registration fee is R$ 140, but candidates who meet certain requirements may request exemption. The requirements are: belonging to a family registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico), with monthly per capita family income equal to or less than half the minimum wage, as well as bone marrow donors, may request exemption from the fee.
