Closer ties with TSMC strengthen the AI chain
The new headquarters is expected to bring Nvidia closer to TSMC, the world’s largest contract chip manufacturer and one of its main suppliers. The Taiwanese company produces advanced semiconductors used in the expansion of artificial intelligence.
Taiwan also concentrates important industrial partners for servers and AI infrastructure. Among them are Foxconn, Wistron, and Quanta Computer, cited as companies with a fundamental role in this chain.
According to Huang, Taiwan will continue to be the world’s center of technology manufacturing for a long time. On stage, in front of family members, about 1,000 employees, and the mayor of Taipei, Chiang Wan-an, he stated that “Taiwan is growing.”
New location expected to employ 4,000 people
Nvidia plans to employ 4,000 people at the new location. Huang called Taiwan the “epicenter of the AI revolution” for bringing together chips, packaging, systems, and artificial intelligence supercomputers, reinforcing the importance of the island for Nvidia and Apple.
