The Peugeot E-2008 Compact Electric SUV, Line 2025, Is Available at Dealerships for R$ 270 Thousand, with a Range of Only 261 km. Find Out if This Model Lives Up to Expectations and if It Is Worth the Price!
With a two-month delay, Peugeot has finally begun selling its compact electric SUV, the E-2008 GT 2025, in Brazil. Unveiled to the public in July, the model, which is imported from Spain, has an initial price of R$ 269,990.
This launch marks the brand’s official entry into the compact electric vehicle segment in the country, offering a combination of technology, comfort, and safety.
Safety and Comfort Features
The new E-2008 GT comes with an extensive list of advanced driving assistance features, something essential for consumers seeking safety and practicality in urban traffic.
-
Hyundai sells an executive minivan that looks like a VIP room on wheels: Custin carries 7 people, uses a 1.5 turbo engine with 168 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission, and costs around R$ 157,000 in direct conversion in Vietnam.
-
The 7-seater Toyota that seems too cheap to exist in Brazil: Rush has a 1.5 engine, manual or automatic option, and a converted price close to R$ 81,000, while here families need to aim for much more expensive SUVs.
-
The 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero Dakar diesel shows 314,000 km and still draws attention for its reputation for durability; the seven-seater 4×4 SUV handles trails, but signs of severe use may conceal losses for used car buyers.
-
Peugeot publicly acknowledged the errors of the PureTech engine, which caused serious failures in hundreds of thousands of cars, and introduced the new Turbo 100 as a definitive solution, a 1.2 turbo tested for over 3 million kilometers that replaces the faulty belt with a more durable chain.
The model is equipped with adaptive cruise control, blind spot alerts, imminent collision warnings, emergency automatic braking, sign recognition, as well as a fatigue detector and automatic lane-keeping correction. These features ensure safer driving, especially on long trips or in heavy traffic situations.
However, the high price may be a limiting factor for many interested buyers, despite the technological features offered. Peugeot, on the other hand, bets on the quality and sustainable proposal of the vehicle to attract consumers.

Performance and Range
The E-2008 GT 2025 also brings significant improvements in performance. The electric motor has seen a 15% increase in power, rising from 136 hp to 158 hp.
Furthermore, the battery capacity has been increased from 50 kWh to 54 kWh, resulting in faster acceleration — the car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, compared to 9.9 seconds for the previous version.
However, one critical point remains the range. The SUV has a range of 261 km, according to the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), which may pose a challenge for those planning to use it for longer trips, as it requires planning for charging stops.
Charging and Convenience
Peugeot has invested in a more efficient charging system. The model features an 11 kW three-phase charger, which allows charging up to 80% of the battery in just 30 minutes when connected to a 100 kW station. For daily use, the E-2008 GT also comes with a 3.2 kW onboard charger, enabling usage with standard outlets.
Additionally, the brand has formed strategic partnerships to facilitate the charging of its customers’ vehicles. Peugeot offers free charging at 764 AC chargers and 18 DC fast stations, in partnership with the energy management company Zletric. For those wishing to install a charger at home, the brand provides approved options from WEG and ENEL X at its dealerships.
The Peugeot E-2008 GT 2025 arrives with many promises, especially regarding onboard technology and enhanced performance. However, the high price and limited range may be factors to consider for Brazilian consumers.
Peugeot hopes that the evolution of electric cars and the expanding charging network will be attractive enough for this segment, which, despite its growth, still faces challenges in the country.
