Residents and Authorities of Macaé Are Expecting the Works to Start This Semester, Boosting Employability and the City’s Economy
The Macaé Port Terminal (Tepor) is close to its start, generating a lot of anticipation for job creation through its works that are expected to begin this semester. In the first phase of the project, about 2,000 job opportunities are expected, rising to 7,000 jobs at the peak of the works.

A meeting took place this week with Igor Romão, the Deputy Secretary of Labor and Income of Macaé, and with José Eduardo Carramenha, who is the project consultant: “The works will start in the first semester. The first phase is expected to last three years. Furthermore, the expectation is to reach 17,000 vacancies in total from the works,” according to Igor’s projections.
The Works Will Begin in Civil and Industrial Construction
In a statement, the City Hall of Macaé said that the first job vacancies at Tepor will be for professionals in the industrial and civil construction sectors: helper, bricklayer, works supervisor, carpenter, scaffolder, building technician, occupational health technician, welding inspector, welder, electrician, automation technician, and others.

This project involves the implementation of the Marlim Azul Thermoelectric Plant, which has been budgeted at 2 billion reais by the joint venture formed by the companies Mitsubishi, Pátria Investimentos, and Shell.
