China is not joking around and is secretly expanding its nuclear weapons infrastructure: a giant dome the size of 13 city blocks, 600 warheads, destroyed villages, and a modernized military network in record time in China, says CNN.
The study, which is one of the main references in the sector, provides a detailed view of the performance of the major operators in the market.
The Leadership Of Claro And The Methodology Of The Survey
The data refers to the first half of 2025 and was compiled from an impressive volume of information, totaling 82 million measurements taken by Speedtest app users nationwide.
Ookla’s methodology, which uses the median of the measurements, ensures a more accurate representation of the real user experience, eliminating potential distortions caused by speed spikes.
According to the study, Claro recorded a median of 473.56 Mb/s in downloads, a figure that places it significantly ahead of its competitors.
For context, this speed allows you to download a high-definition movie in just seconds, or make ultra-high-definition video calls without any interruptions.
The 32.34 Mb/s upload speed was also the best in the market, reinforcing the operator’s leadership on both fronts.
These numbers demonstrate not only download capacity but also network stability for sending files and data, which is crucial for the modern user experience.
The Performance Of Other Operators In The Speed Ranking
Ookla’s survey shows a fierce competition among the country’s major operators, although Claro has maintained its leadership.
Vivo ranks second, with a remarkable performance, recording 430.17 Mb/s in downloads and 23.23 Mb/s in uploads, respectively.
The result shows that the operator has been investing in the expansion and quality of its network, positioning it as a strong competitor.
TIM comes in third, with a median of 386.13 Mb/s in downloads and 21.61 Mb/s in uploads.
Although in third place, TIM’s result is robust and demonstrates the high speed of its 5G network, ensuring a great experience for its customers.
It is important to note that, despite Claro’s clear leadership, the speed difference among the top three operators is still relatively small, indicating a competitive market that benefits consumers with high service standards.
What The Results Mean For The Consumer?
The survey is a valuable tool for consumers, who can use this data to make more informed decisions when choosing their mobile internet provider.
Aside from speed, however, other factors such as coverage in your area of residence or work and plan costs are still crucial.
Ookla’s survey provides a great starting point, but each user’s experience may vary.
The ideal is for consumers to analyze the coverage of each operator in their specific region, using coverage map tools or reports from other users, to make the choice that best suits their needs.
