About the Bids Opened by Petrobras
The contract for the five UTAs to support the FPSO Almirante Barroso platform are equipment designed to receive hydraulic commands, low and medium voltage electrical signals, optical fiber signals from umbilicals, and distribute them to other underwater equipment such as the Wet Christmas Tree (ANM).
The competition to secure the contract with Petrobras has already begun, and the opening of envelopes with company proposals is scheduled for December 10.
The Almirante Barroso semi-submersible platform will be the fifth definitive production unit of the Búzios field, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. The charter contract for the unit was granted to the Japanese company Modec. The FPSO will have the capacity to produce 150,000 barrels of oil per day, with operations expected to start in 2022.
With the opening of envelopes for the competition scheduled for December 15, the other bid in progress by Petrobras refers to the hiring of operational services for pull-in and pull-out systems for submarine pipelines and renting of winch systems for these two types of activities on the state-owned company’s production platforms.
