This is the first gasoline adjustment announced by Petrobras this June. In May, the oil company adjusted the fuel price 4 times. Diesel prices remain the same.

The pass-through of refinery adjustments to final consumers is not immediate and depends on a series of factors, such as the distribution and resale margin, taxes, and the mandatory addition of ethanol.
The previous gasoline increase was on May 27. It rose 5%, and diesel, by 7%.
The rise in gasoline prices follows a jump of over 19% last week in Brent crude oil prices, an international benchmark.
According to Petrobras, its pricing policy aims to follow import parity values, which take into account oil prices in the international market plus importer costs, such as transportation and port fees, also influenced by exchange rates.
