To Optimize Costs, Petrobras Launched Today a Teaser for the Offshore Poles Golfinho and Camarupim
Petrobras announced on Wednesday (15th) a new stage of disclosing the opportunity (teaser) for its participation in two deepwater offshore concession units in the pre-salt, named Polo Golfinho and Polo Camarupim, located in the Espírito Santo Basin. The main subsequent stages of the project will be informed in due course. This disclosure is in accordance with Petrobras’ divestment guidelines and with the provisions of the special procedure for the assignment of exploration, development, and production rights for oil, natural gas, and other fluid hydrocarbons, as provided in Decree 9.355/2018.
This operation aims to optimize Petrobras’ portfolio and improve the company’s capital allocation, aiming to maximize value for its shareholders.

About the Offshore Poles
The Polo Golfinho is located in water depths between 1,300 m and 2,200 m, encompassing the Golfinho field, an oil producer, and the Canapu field, a non-associated gas producer, as well as the exploratory block BM-ES-23. The average total production of the fields between 2018 and 2019 was 15 thousand bpd of oil and 750 thousand m³/day of gas.
The Polo Camarupim is located in water depths between 100 m and 1,050 m, encompassing the unitized fields of Camarupim and Camarupim Norte, both non-associated gas producers.
Petrobras holds a 100% stake in the concessions of the Poles Golfinho and Camarupim(*), except for the exploratory block BM-ES-23, where it has a majority stake of 65%, in partnership with PTTEP (20%) and Inpex (15%). Petrobras is the operator of all concessions.
Bids can be made per Pole, separately, or in a single bid for both Poles.
(*) The process for Petrobras to acquire Ouro Preto’s stake in the Camarupim Norte field was initiated in August 2018 and is expected to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2020.
