In a Series of Meetings with the Governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues, Deputies, and Mayors on Monday (03/13), the President of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, Confirmed that the Company is Taking the Necessary Measures to Restart Production at the Bahia Terra Hub by April.
After the suspension of operations at the end of last year at the request of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Petrobras has been adhering to a proposed schedule to resume production and expedite responses to regulatory requests, and the Bahia Terra Hub would be one of them.
What Petrobras Says About the Bahia Terra Hub
For the President of Petrobras, the idea is to initiate the project as early as April. “The production of assets in our onshore operations was interrupted by regulatory action from the ANP, which was not an action by Petrobras. This month, we will finalize all of the Agency’s requirements to resume production at the Bahia Terra Hub by early April. We will resume production, and it is important for the municipalities; it is important to maintain jobs because it is important for Petrobras,” he said.
Furthermore, Prates mentioned that he took the opportunity during his visit to Bahia to see the facilities of the Torre Pituba complex, one of the administrative buildings in Salvador. The building, which houses over 5,000 employees, has 22 floors and an auxiliary space, and is expected to resume operations soon.
