One of the major differentiators of the project is the cantitravel mechanism, an innovative structure designed to optimize construction.
According to the City Hall, the equipment will work alongside cranes, facilitating the installation of piles and the transportation of heavy materials.
This advanced system represents approximately 10% of the total cost of the project.
The construction site also includes a precast parts factory located near the construction area.
This way, the materials produced on-site can be easily transported, speeding up the timeline and ensuring greater accuracy.
Deadline and Funding
The contractual deadline for completing the Joinville Bridge is two years, with delivery expected in May 2026.
So far, work has focused on both ends of the link, in the neighborhoods of Adhemar Garcia and Boa Vista, as well as on assembling the necessary equipment.
To enable the project, the City Hall of Joinville has resorted to an international loan of US$ 40 million, a value that is currently being supplemented.
According to information from the municipal administration, this funding will be essential to keep the schedule on track and ensure the required technical standards.
Impact on Mobility and Economy
When completed, the Joinville Bridge will represent a definitive solution for traffic between the Southern and Eastern regions of the city.
The expectation is that around 65,000 people will cross the new structure daily, which will relieve existing roads and reduce travel times for thousands of workers, students, and residents.
