Meet the New Toyota Mini SUV That Promises to Leave the C3 Behind in Sales. The Toyota Raize Mini SUV Delivers Great Performance, Design, and Top Features at an Affordable Price.

We introduce the Toyota Raize, the new entry-level compact SUV from Toyota and the most affordable option in the automaker’s lineup, which has quickly become the biggest rival to the new C3. Designed to cater to a wide range of consumers, Toyota has been striving to offer more affordable vehicles. The Raize, a mini SUV smaller than the Yaris Cross, stands out for its potential to become a global phenomenon. With features that strongly position it in the market, it promises to be an interesting choice for those seeking practicality and efficiency in a compact package.

Design Details of the New Toyota Mini SUV

Developed in India but available throughout Asia, Toyota’s mini SUV is a product that has arrived to be very popular there, with extremely competitive prices in the country. In dimensions, the Toyota Raize mini SUV is 4 cm longer than our new C3, which is one of its main direct rivals in India.

It measures 4.30 m in length, 2.52 m in wheelbase, 1.70 m in width, 1.60 m in height, weighing a light 1076 kg and accommodating 350 L of luggage in the trunk.

The design of the Toyota Raize mini SUV is quite divisive, potentially captivating some while displeasing others due to its origins derived from another brand’s model. At the front, the Raize features a hexagonal grille, full LED headlights, and daytime running lights integrated into the bumper.

On the side, it stands out with a two-tone paint job featuring a Black Piano roof and 17-inch wheels with a diamond finish. At the rear, the Raize is adorned with an integrated spoiler and LED taillights, connected by a strip also in Black Piano, giving the vehicle a modern and cohesive look.

And in Brazil, How Much and When Does It Arrive?

In Brazil, the arrival of the Toyota compact SUV is highly anticipated, promising to capture the public’s attention with its excellent cost-benefit ratio, superior quality, and attractive features.

According to Jornal do Carro as predicted back in 2019, the Toyota Raize, a compact SUV of Daihatsu origin, was chosen by Toyota to succeed the Yaris line. Planned to be produced at the Sorocaba factory in São Paulo, the Raize aims to compete in the tight market segment that includes the Fiat Pulse, Renault Kardian, and VW Nivus, among others. Interestingly, the Raize is already available in the Mexican market, where it is sold for 333,900 pesos – about R$ 89,000.

Forecasts indicate that the Toyota Raize should start production in Sorocaba and hit the market by 2024. However, we are now in March, and without signs of movement, we have adjusted our expectations for a probable launch in 2025. This perspective aligns with Toyota’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the compact SUV segment, crucial for attracting Brazilian consumers.

New Toyota Raize Mini SUV Achieves Up to 17 km/L

In terms of motorizations, the Toyota Raize mini SUV is quite pleasing with its setup. The only option it offers is a 1.0 three-cylinder Turbo engine with direct fuel injection that runs exclusively on gasoline.

It produces up to 98 horsepower and 14.3 kgfm of torque, which can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission that simulates up to seven speeds.

Performance is good thanks to the low weight, and the Toyota mini SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds. Fuel consumption averages are also pleasing, with the model recording 13.4 km per liter in the city and 17 km per liter on the highway. It is worth noting that it always runs on gasoline.

Moving to the interior, the new Toyota Raize mini SUV features a finish full of hard plastics, but the build quality surpasses that of its direct competitors. The interior space comfortably accommodates four adults, with room for at most one child in the middle due to its relatively small size.

Thus, the list of features is quite interesting, with highlights including keyless entry, digital climate control for one zone, heated front seats, electronically folding mirrors, a multifunctional steering wheel, and a semi-digital dashboard with a fully configurable seven-inch display, among others.

With prices ranging between R$ 80,000 and R$ 120,000, this model positions itself as a competitive option against the Citroën C3 and other SUVs in the same price range, offering an intriguing alternative for Brazilian consumers.

New Toyota Raize Comes with Various Safety Features

The multimedia system is a major positive point in the SUV’s interior. The large 9-inch screen features built-in GPS, a rearview camera, and wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, even though it’s an extremely affordable SUV offered in India, the Toyota mini SUV provides everything that is expected and more for the category it belongs to, significantly elevating its level.

Moreover, it comes with six airbags, traction and stability controls, as well as disc brakes with ABS at the front and drum brakes at the rear. As one of the most interesting cars in the Indian market, the Toyota Raize mini SUV is a good option, considering it is larger and more complete than its direct rivals, yet costs nearly the same, around R$ 89,000, being more expensive only when equipped with the CVT transmission.

Nunca! Enquanto isso , nós compramos e adoramos. Bando de **** nós somos.
