The New Gasoline From Porsche, Siemens, And Exxon
The idea that a gasoline that will be burned could be more efficient than electric cars seems like something out of this world, considering that the current scenario is making this transition from conventional models to electric ones, but it is important to remember that in this sector, it is worth investigating and testing every part so that no solution that could contribute to reducing pollutants goes unnoticed. The new gasoline from Porsche is named eFuel and its goal is to achieve an 85% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
According to the company, this is the average reduction of electric cars, varying according to the location where the consumer lives and the source used for generating electricity.

The process of generating gasoline that promises to surpass electric cars uses clean energy sources to break hydrogen from water and then moves the compound to a process that results in artificial gasoline. The idea is not precisely new, but rather an “update” of a process known as Fischer-Tropsch, created in the early 1920s.
The New Gasoline That Promises To Be Better Than Electric Cars May Arrive At An Affordable Price That Fits In The Consumers’ Wallet
To develop the gasoline, Porsche has been working in partnership with Siemens Energy and Exxon to kick off the production of the new eFuel. The factory responsible for production is called Haru Oni, which will be located next to a wind farm in the city of Magallanes, in southern Chile. It is worth noting that the factory and the park will be inaugurated in 2022.
The first batch of Porsche’s gasoline will total approximately 34,000 gallons, but by 2026 that number will increase to 145 million. The figure, although seeming high, represents 0.1% of what is consumed in the United States in a year. In 2020 alone, Americans burned 124 billion gallons of gasoline.
