The sector received double the taxes, generating around 11,000 direct jobs, 6% more compared to last year. The country managed to nearly double its revenue compared to last year, due to several factors. These include the currency variation, increase in the price of international ore, among other reasons.
The negotiation/exploration of ore in Brazil generated revenue of R$ 70 billion this quarter. In 2020, the sector had a revenue of R$ 36 billion in the first quarter. This amount is 95% higher compared to last year.
