The Public Call from Neoenergia Will Total R$ 41.4 Million and the Project Value Will Be Allocated to the Industry, Commerce, Services, and More
Neoenergia has just opened public calls for energy efficiency projects in the company’s subsidiaries – Coelba (BA), Celpe (PE), Cosern (RN), and Elektro (SP/MS). In total, R$ 41.4 million will be made available for the selected actions, according to the criteria established in the notices. The rules comply with the determinations of the Energy Efficiency Program (PEE), regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).

Applications will be accepted until January 13, 2021, and all types of consumers from the sectors mentioned above who maintain contact with the franchisor can register. The actions selected in this public call may take place throughout 2021.
Ana Christina Mascarenhas, Energy Efficiency Manager at Neoenergia, says that “The public call makes the process of selecting the projects included in the Energy Efficiency Program even more transparent and democratic. The goal is to encourage more efficient energy use with sustainable practices.”

Distributors must allocate 0.5% of net operating revenue to the Energy Efficiency Program each year.
Projects whose beneficiaries are non-profit organizations – including government departments with charitable or welfare nature – will be implemented through cooperation agreements, and other projects will be executed through performance contracts.
