Three-Story Viaduct in China Surprises with Spiral Curves, 350 Meters High and a View That Resembles a Dragon in the Mountains
Videos circulating on social media have drawn attention from internet users again. The reason is a giant construction in China: a three-story viaduct located on Tianlong Mountain, in Shanxi province. The bridge, at 350 meters high, stands out for its spiral structure that resembles a dragon resting on the mountain.
The most important thing is that this construction is part of the Tianlongshan highway, nicknamed the “Highway Above the Clouds.”
From above, the view is impressive. The road appears to float, with winding curves and elevations that challenge gravity.

Million-Dollar Project
The construction of the highway began in March 2018 and was completed the following year. The full route is about 30 km, highlighting the main viaduct.
The cost of the project was US$ 100 million, equivalent to R$ 578 million. Overall, around seven thousand tons of steel were used to support the structure.
This project shows how China has heavily invested in visually appealing infrastructure. In addition to its practical function of connecting mountainous regions, the site has become a tourist attraction in its own right.
Besides the impressive visuals, the Tianlongshan highway also stands out for its precision engineering. Sensors were used along the structure to monitor in real-time factors such as temperature, vibration, and stability.
This system ensures greater safety for drivers and allows for constant preventive maintenance, even in such a challenging terrain.
