The small principality of Andorra drew attention from the global automotive market again in 2025 by repeating an unusual feat: the Porsche 911 was once again the best-selling car in the country. This result, which had already occurred in 2024, remained the same and reinforces the image of a unique automotive market, where a sports coupe costing nearly 140,000 euros leads sales, something unthinkable in most countries.
Porsche 911: An Unlikely Leader on the Streets of Andorra
Throughout 2025, the Porsche 911 registered 86 units sold, three more than the previous year, surpassing much more affordable models. In practice, Andorra is the only country in the world where the sports car holds the title of the best-selling vehicle.
This data is noteworthy not only for the high value of the car but also for the profile of local consumers, who show a preference for high-end models.

Moreover, taxes on combustion vehicles are significantly lower than in other regions of Europe.
As a result, many buyers acquire their cars in Andorra and later take them to other countries, taking advantage of the tax benefits.
This dynamic helps explain why luxury models can achieve such high sales volumes.
Growing Market and a Curious Ranking
During 2025, around 2,511 vehicles were sold in Andorra, representing a 10% increase compared to 2024.
Behind the Porsche 911 were the Toyota Yaris Cross, with 63 units, and the Seat Arona, with 57. The Mercedes-Benz GLC occupies fourth place, with 55, followed by the Cupra Formentor, with 47.
The ranking also includes models like the Renault Clio, Cupra Terramar, Mini Cooper, Ford Tourneo Custom, and Hyundai Tucson, showing an unusual mix of sports cars, SUVs, compacts, and even a van among the best sellers.
Highlighting Car Brands and Contrasts
Among manufacturers, BMW led with 204 units and a 29% increase compared to the previous year.
Mercedes-Benz follows closely with 200 cars, while Toyota sold 164. Ford, with 160, and Porsche, with 159, complete the top five.
Another curious contrast is the fact that Ferrari sold more than Suzuki in 2025: 56 units of the Italian brand compared to 50 of the Japanese.
These numbers reinforce the exclusive yet popular character of the Andorran market at the same time.
With about 80,000 inhabitants, being the 11th smallest country in the world by population and the 16th in area, Andorra also stands out as a shopping destination for electronics, perfumes, and beverages, helping to contextualize the strength of local consumption and the favorable environment for high-value goods.
