IFES and UAB open registration for distance learning Literature course
O IFES, in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), announced the opening of applications for the Simplified Selection Process 002/2025.
The programme of Degree in Literature – Portuguese, in distance learning mode, aims to fill remaining vacancies for the first semester of 2025.

How will the vacancies be distributed?
The notice offers 126 vacancies, which are distributed among different municipal centers of in-person support in Espírito Santo. Check the number of vacancies per center:
- Afonso Cláudio: 26 vacancies
- Good Jesus from the North: 20 vacancies
- Castle: 30 vacancies
- ecoporanga: 28 vacancies
- Itapemirim: 22 vacancies

Who can apply?
To participate in the selection process, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
Academic education: Possess a high school graduation certificate or equivalent. Those who do not yet have the certificate can present proof at the time of enrollment.
Review: Present the bulletin of ENEM (National High School Exam), with positive grades in all areas, or take a dissertative-argumentative writing test.
Documentation: Send official documents with photo, Tax ID (CPF), and, if applicable, prove professional experience in the area of basic education.
How will the selection be?
The selection process will be carried out based on two main criteria:
ENEM score: Candidates who choose to use exam scores will have their scores evaluated from 2020 to 2024.
Writing test: Applicants who prefer to take the writing test will be assessed on a written essay in the dissertative-argumentative format. The test will take place on the day 30 January 2025 and will last two hours.
Furthermore, practicing basic education teachers will be able to earn additional points if they demonstrate professional experience in the area.

Pay attention to the selection process schedule:
Registrations: From January 06th to 25th, 2025, exclusively through the official IFES website.
Writing test: January 30, 2025.
Final result: The list of classifieds will be released on the day February 07, 2025 on the IFES and UAB websites.
Resources: Any appeal request will be analyzed until the final date of publication of the result.
