The Federal Institute of São Paulo (IF) is accepting applications for free courses, including options in the areas of engines and consumption. Find out how to secure your place.

O Federal Institute of Sao Paulo (IF) announced the opening de 160 vacancies for free courses in São Carlos, starting in the first half of 2025. 

The opportunities cover areas such as Administration, Aeronautical Engineering and Software Engineering, and are aimed at those seeking quality training in public institutions. 

The São João da Boa Vista unit also offers other 240 vacancies, expanding options in the region.

The courses are offered by Sisu (Unified Selection System) and some of the places are allocated to the Quota Law, serving students from the public school system, low-income people and self-declared Black, Brown and Indigenous people (PPI). 

This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to enter higher education for free and with excellent technical and academic support.

How does the IF selection process work?

Those interested in participating in the selection process must register at Unified Selection System (Sisu). IFSP uses the grade of Enem (National High School Examination) as a selection criterion, offering a transparent and accessible opportunity for all candidates. To apply, you must:

  • Have taken the Enem 2024;
  • Not having scored zero on the essay;
  • Choose the desired course on the Sisu platform during the registration period.

The result will be published on the Sisu website, and selected candidates must follow the instructions for registration, including the presentation of supporting documents, such as ID, CPF, proof of residence and academic transcript.
