The Federal Institute of Maranhão (IFMA) has releasedNotice 107/2024,offering various vacancies for free technical courses scheduled to start in 2025. The selection process covers integrated, concurrent, and subsequent forms to high school education, providing ongoing education, professional training, and specializations in various areas.

Objective Of The Free Technical Courses And Course Load

The main objective of the courses offered is to provide quality technical education, preparing students for the job market and for further studies. The modalities are in-person, with course loads varying according to the chosen course. The activities include theoretical and practical classes, as well as forums and seminars, according to the specificities of each course.

Available Vacancies And Offer Locations

The notice provides a total of 3,600 vacancies distributed among different campuses of the Federal Institute (IFMA). The opportunities are directed to candidates wishing to enter free technical courses at the high school level, distributed among campuses in the cities of São Luís, Imperatriz, Bacabal, among others.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted through an objective test, consisting of questions in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. The quota system ensures the reservation of vacancies for students from public schools, people with disabilities, as well as affirmative actions for black, brown, and indigenous individuals. The selection includes an analysis of performance in the exams and, in some cases, an electronic lottery for subsequent vacancies.

Requirements For Enrollment

To participate in the selection process for free technical courses, candidates must have completed elementary or high school, according to the chosen course modality. Access to the internet is necessary to complete the online registration, along with documents such as ID, CPF, and proof of schooling.

The Federal Institute (IFMA) offers a wide range of free technical courses in the areas of Administration, Information Technology, Electronics, Environmental Studies, among others. Each campus has a specific list of available courses, ensuring diversity in the offer and in different fields of knowledge.

Registrations

Registrations can be made through the official IFMA website, until October 21, 2024. The process is simple and can be done entirely online. The registration fee is R$30.00, except for candidates who request a waiver according to the conditions described in the notice.
