The Xiaoban toilet robot, made by Yueban, brings a new logic of accessibility by taking the toilet to people with reduced mobility. See!
An innovation that costs 28,999 yuan (about R$ 22,200 at the current exchange rate) promises to change the dynamics of assistance and home care in households with people in fragile health. The Xiaoban assistive device, manufactured by the Chinese company Yueban, was designed with a clear objective: to make the bathroom go to the user autonomously, reversing the traditional logic of residential movement.
Focused on serving the elderly and individuals suffering from reduced mobility, this toilet robot moves independently through the rooms of a house after receiving calls via remote control or voice commands — a feature that has the advantage of working even when the property is without an internet connection.
How the equipment eliminates waste without hydraulic renovations
Unlike bath chairs and common chemical containers, the device solves the sewage disposal automatically directly into the property’s conventional toilet.

Scientists may have found an absurd clue about how life began on Earth: mineral nanoparticles might have used light, heat, and electricity to transform non-living matter into the first biological building blocks.

AI may be close to discovering new laws of physics, but scientists have found a frightening error: the technology reduces expensive simulations by more than 10 times and yet may overlook unprecedented clues hidden in the universe.

China has deployed snake-shaped robots to slide along power lines, where they have already inspected over 130 kilometers of cables using cameras and sensors to detect damaged wires, worn-out parts, and overheating.

At the end of use, the intelligent system activates a mechanism that completely grinds the organic waste. Subsequently, the robot mechanically transfers all the ground content to the fixed toilet installed in the room of the residence.
According to information from the manufacturer Yueban, the great operational benefit of this engineering is its ease of use, as the system eliminates the need for interventions or expensive alterations to the home’s original plumbing.

The sensor ecosystem behind autonomous movement
Precise locomotion and avoidance of household objects occur thanks to the combined processing of data collected by a robust electronic monitoring package.
To plot safe routes and avoid accidents on the path, the device includes the following integrated tools:
- Laser and LiDAR sensors: Perform in-depth scanning of the rooms.
- Ultrasonic sensor: Identifies the presence of furniture, doors, and walls in the trajectory.
- Level detection sensors: Prevent falls on steps, gaps, and stairs.
All this technological equipment also allows the private robot to create an internal digital map of the dwelling.

It is through this geographic recognition that the machine discovers the exact location of the house’s bathrooms, knowing exactly where to go after completing its assistive task in the bedroom or living room.
Complete Odor Blockage and Internal Cleaning Process
To prevent impurities or unpleasant smells from escaping into the family’s living areas during movements, the manufacturer added a strong sealing and filtering combo to the Xiaoban’s structure:
- Odor control mechanism that spreads a protective foam layer to muffle smells.
- Waste storage compartment completely sealed against gas leakage.
- Special anti-odor valve installed in the passage duct.
- Filter composed of activated charcoal to purify residual air.
Besides retaining bad smells, the device minimizes the need for maintenance or inconvenient manual cleaning by caregivers and relatives.
This is possible due to a 360-degree self-cleaning feature that projects a pressurized water flow in a whirlpool shape on the internal walls of the storage tank.
Current and Future Commercialization of Xiaoban Outside Asia
Despite the significant logistical and social appeal presented by the healthcare automation project, the high-tech appliance had its debut restricted to the Asian continent.
The product is already available for purchase in Chinese market stores at the launch price announced by the company.
On the other hand, the manufacturer Yueban has not yet commented and has not provided data or details regarding a future distribution of the robot in other territories or Western countries.
