Federal Institute Starts Selection Process for Hiring Teachers in Various Areas of Knowledge. Salaries up to R$6,3 Thousand.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) published Notice 39/2024, which announces the simplified selection process for hiring Substitute Teachers in 27 cities across the state. Altogether, there are 67 available positions in various areas of expertise, such as Computer Science, Engineering, English, Mathematics, Arts, Mechanics, Literature, Management, and many others. Salaries vary according to the workload and qualifications of the candidate, potentially exceeding R$ 6,3 thousand for professionals with a doctorate.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), a public educational institution, offers technical, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses in various fields. Founded in 1909, IFSP’s mission is to promote professional and technological education, contributing significantly to Brazil’s socioeconomic development.

With 36 campuses distributed throughout the state of São Paulo, IFSP has modern and complete infrastructure. The minimum qualifications required for each position are specified in the ITEM 1.2 of the notice. In general, a complete degree in the area of expertise is required.

Compensation and Workload:

The compensation for Substitute Teachers at the Federal Institute of São Paulo varies according to the weekly workload and qualifications. For a workload of 20 hours per week, the salaries are: Bachelor’s Degree – R$ 2,437.59; Specialization – R$ 2,681.35; Master’s Degree – R$ 3,046.99; Doctorate – R$ 3,829.21. For a workload of 40 hours per week, the amounts are: Bachelor’s Degree – R$ 3,412.63; Specialization – R$ 3,924.63; Master’s Degree – R$ 4,692.37; Doctorate – R$ 6,356.02.

Selection Process for Notice 39/2024

Candidates will be evaluated through a Teaching-Pedagogical Performance Test, at the discretion of each campus. This evaluation may be remote or in-person and will analyze the Lesson Plan and Development. Those who pass this stage will undergo a Test of Experience and Qualifications, as defined in ITEM 7 of the notice.

The Simplified Selection Process will be valid for 12 months, counted from the date of publication of the final result confirmation in the Official Gazette of the Union.

Enrollment

Enrollment for the selection process of Substitute Teachers at IFSP can be done on the institution’s website until June 13, 2024. To participate, it is necessary to pay an enrollment fee of R$ 75.00. For more information, check the notice HERE.
