A New Career Opportunity Is Available: A Federal University Is Selecting Online Tutors for a Course in Distance Education
Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) has announced a new public notice for the selection of tutors for the course on Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations and Anti-Racist Education for the Deaf, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MEC).
The Distance Education (DE) model has experienced constant growth in recent years, accompanied by a rising demand for qualified professionals to work in this area. Opportunity for Selection of DE Tutors at UFRB:
There are 08 vacancies available, in addition to the formation of a reserve list, for tutors who will work in the course, which aims to qualify education professionals through a combination of theoretical and practical studies. The course focuses on pedagogical practices, expanding participants’ proficiency in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and its terms.
The responsibilities of the tutors selected by UFRB include monitoring students’ progress, providing feedback within 24 hours, assisting with any learning difficulties, correcting supervised activities, and providing detailed feedback on students’ performance. Additionally, tutors will participate in chats and forums, assist teachers, maintain frequent contact with students, participate in assessments, undergo training, and prepare follow-up reports as required by the institution.
Compensation and Selection Process:
To apply for the tutor position at UFRB, candidates must have a higher education degree in any field, knowledge of Libras, availability of 20 hours per week, and good communication skills. The compensation is R$ 765.00 for a three-month contract, which is the expected duration of the course.
The selection process will consist of two phases: document verification and evaluation of a video application, according to Barema criteria.
The final result, along with the candidate ranking list, will be published on the UFRB website, with the ranking order based on the scores obtained throughout the selection process stages.
