Urban model imported by E-Motors changed its name after a dispute with Kia and entered the fight for the most affordable electric cars in the country, with a price below known rivals, declared range above 200 km, and a proposal mainly aimed at fleets, driving schools, and urban use.
With an announced price of R$ 69,990 and a reported range of 201 km, the Emova Easy has come to occupy a little-explored range among brand-new electric cars sold in Brazil.
Imported by E-Motors, the urban hatchback hit the market after a name change prompted by Kia’s challenge, which contested the use of the EV2 and EV3 initials in the country.
The new name placed the model directly in the competition for the title of cheapest brand-new electric car in Brazil, below known competitors in the entry segment.

In this comparison, the Emova Easy appears with a lower value than the Renault Kwid E-Tech, found for R$ 99,990 in tests and tables released by the specialized press, and the BYD Dolphin Mini, announced in June for R$ 109,990 in a promotional condition.
Dispute with Kia changed the names of the models
On April 14, 2026, Kia released an official statement asserting that EV2 and EV3 are registered trademarks at the National Institute of Industrial Property.
According to the manufacturer, the initials are part of its global family of electric vehicles and had been used without authorization in Brazil by E-Motors and JMEV.
After the impasse, the importer decided to rename the Chinese compacts it had introduced to the national market.
The former EV2 was renamed Emova Easy, while the EV3 was named Emova Urban, maintaining the original commercial proposal of the pair.
To Quatro Rodas, E-Motors stated that it “chose to update this nomenclature in the country,” respecting market rules and intellectual property.
Even with the change, the sales strategy remained focused on fleets, driving schools, and urban operations, without preventing purchase by interested consumers.
On the brand’s official channel, the vehicles appear available upon request for a commercial proposal.
Service can also be done via WhatsApp, in a format different from the traditional purchasing process at dealerships.
Emova Easy focuses on low price
Approved for four occupants, the Emova Easy is an ultra-compact vehicle primarily aimed at urban use and short-distance travel.
The technical specifications released by E-Motors indicate a 15.88 kWh LFP battery, a 30 kW electric motor, a top speed of 100 km/h, and a length of 3.50 meters.
In terms of performance, the declared torque is 85 Nm, equivalent to about 8.6 kgfm.
According to the numbers presented by the brand, the model prioritizes initial cost, efficiency in urban routes, and simplicity of operation over high performance.
The standard equipment list follows the entry-level proposal of the hatch.
Among the items listed by E-Motors are air conditioning, electric steering, electric windows and locks, onboard computer, and ABS brakes, a basic set to reduce the final price of the vehicle.
Those seeking more features can opt for the optional packages offered by the company.
Depending on the configuration, the Emova Easy can be equipped with a multimedia center, an expanded digital screen, parking sensors, a rearview camera, a 360° camera, driving assistants, electronic stability control, keyless entry, push-button start, and fast charging in direct current.
Warranty and equipment have discrepancies between sources
On the official E-Motors website, the announced warranty for the Emova Easy is eight years for the battery and two years for the vehicle.
This information contrasts with a report by Quatro Rodas, which recorded a three-year warranty for the car and eight years for the battery.
This difference shows that some commercial conditions still require direct confirmation with the importer before purchase.
As the packages depend on consultation and may vary according to the proposal, equipment, warranties, and final values need to be verified at the time of negotiation.
Emova Urban increases range and space
Positioned above the Easy, the Emova Urban maintains its urban vocation but offers a larger body, five seats, and superior performance.
The compact hatch has a declared range of 330 km, a 30.24 kWh LFP battery, a 50 kW motor, about 68 hp, torque of 12.7 kgfm, and a top speed of 110 km/h.
The launch price reported by the specialized press is R$ 99,990.
Additionally, CNN Brazil reported that the model may have a configuration aimed at driving schools, including gear shift simulation and dual brake and accelerator controls for the instructor.
Not available for immediate sale, E-Motors is also considering nationalizing part of the compact vehicles’ operation.
The discussions involve the possibility of assembling the Emova Easy and Urban at the Ceará Automotive Plant in Horizonte, where the former Troller factory operates.
According to information cited by iG, E-Motors, Comexport, and JMEV are involved in the negotiations about the project in Ceará.
Until May 13, 2026, however, no formal agreement had been reached for local production of the electric models.
Sedan Elight and SUV Ewind complete the lineup
E-Motors’ strategy in Brazil is not limited to entry-level compacts. In addition to the Easy and Urban, the company presents the sedan Elight and the SUV Ewind, two models positioned above the cheaper pair in size, range, and usage proposal.
In the case of the Elight, the official page reports a range of 501 km, a top speed of 140 km/h, and a power of 165 kW.
This number is equivalent to approximately 224 hp, which places the sedan in a range further from the simple proposal of urban models.
Among the vehicles disclosed by the importer, the Ewind appears as a top option.
The specifications presented by the brand report a range of 520 km, a top speed of 160 km/h, and the same power of 165 kW, although the public price does not yet appear in the consulted area.
Entry-level electric market gains a new competitor
The arrival of the Emova Easy comes at a time of expanding electric offerings in Brazil, even though price, range, equipment, and service network continue to vary greatly among brands.
In this scenario, E-Motors seeks space with urban models, charging solutions, and services directed at companies, fleets, and electric mobility projects.
For the common consumer, the main appeal of the Emova Easy remains concentrated on the price of R$ 69,990 and the declared range of 201 km.
These numbers place the hatch below well-known rivals in initial value, although the purchase depends on the commercial proposal and may vary according to state, taxes, optional equipment, and billing conditions.
