The State of Santa Catarina Will Release About R$ 104.8 Million in Resources to Support Agribusiness in Rural and Fishing Areas
The government of the state of Santa Catarina will invest R$ 104.8 million to support investments in rural and fishing areas. Throughout 2021, rural producers and fishermen will have access to new credit schemes, in addition to supporting productivity increases, formalization of land use rights, and defense in agribusiness. The State Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development will invest R$ 27 million in six new lines of credit to improve competitiveness and income for family farming and fishing.

Investments in Agribusiness
Governor Carlos Moisés says that they are making a significant investment in the state of Santa Catarina. Throughout the state, 70% of all products we export come from agribusiness, which shows the importance of the sector in generating jobs and income for the people of Santa Catarina. According to him, they know this is a department that should attract a lot of attention, that is reinventing itself, and is one of the strong points of our country.

Contributions to Agribusiness in Santa Catarina
The Department of Agriculture will operate in five areas: interest-free financing, financing with interest bonuses arranged with banking agents, public policies for youth and women, support for soil care, water conservation, and emergency assistance.
José Milton Scheffer, president of the Agriculture and Rural Policy Commission of Alesc and state deputy, highlighted that the government of Santa Catarina took an important step in developing support measures for family agribusiness, creating a favorable environment for investments and improving income and quality in rural areas.
