Development of New Sustainable Projects
“It is an opportunity for our customers, entrepreneurs, and public agencies to develop sustainable, efficient, and quality projects,” says Thiago Peres, Energy Efficiency Coordinator at Energisa.
According to him, the company invests in projects that improve people’s quality of life and bring benefits to the community. “Among the main examples already developed are improvements for public lighting, equipment replacement, and installation of photovoltaic generation systems in social, educational, and public buildings. We are committed to ensuring that the use of electric energy is done in a conscious and responsible manner towards the environment,” explains Peres.
Energisa’s Energy Efficiency Project
Among Energisa’s main actions are the energy efficiency projects in hospitals and low-income communities. “The company invests in projects that improve people’s quality of life and bring benefits to the community, promoting conscious consumption of electric energy,” says Pedro Martiniano, EEP Coordinator at Energisa Sergipe.
Pedro adds that with the implemented improvements, the projected savings reach 29,208 MWh annually, enough to supply 4,869 low-income houses for a period of five years. The initiative also promotes educational actions and replacement of old electrical appliances with newer and more efficient items, such as LED or compact fluorescent lamps and refrigerators. In five years, 350,000 lamps and 320 refrigerators were replaced.
