Realme launched, on Thursday (02), the Realme 16x 5G in the Brazilian market. The new mid-range smartphone combines a 6,600 mAh battery, 6.8-inch screen, and fifth-generation mobile network connectivity.
The device is available exclusively through Mercado Livre during the pre-sale. The configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage has a suggested price of R$ 1,6 thousand, while the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB costs R$ 1,9 thousand.
Among the other components are the Dimensity 6300 processor, 50-megapixel main camera, 5 MP front camera, and Android 16 operating system with the realme UI 7 interface.

The battery capacity is among the main elements of the launch. The Realme 16x 5G uses a 6,600 mAh component. The manufacturer has not yet provided the official estimate of duration under everyday usage conditions.
The effective autonomy will depend on factors such as screen brightness, applications used, mobile connection intensity, and frequency of video or game playback.
The device also supports 45 W charging, 6.5 W reverse charging function, and energy optimization tools that help extend usage time throughout the day.
6.8-inch screen has a 144 Hz rate
The smartphone received a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The refresh rate can reach 144 Hz, a feature that increases the number of times the image is refreshed each second.
This feature can be used during system navigation, page scrolling, and running compatible games.

The processing is handled by the Dimensity 6300, a platform developed by MediaTek. Announced at the beginning of 2024, the chip was created for entry-level and mid-range phones. Its manufacturing uses TSMC’s six-nanometer process.
The Realme 16x 5G will be marketed in Brazil in two memory configurations:
- 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage;
- 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage.
The internal space can also be expanded via a microSD card. The combination of memory and storage changes according to the version chosen by the consumer and also affects the final price of the device.
Main camera captures 50 MP images
On the back, the Realme 16x 5G has a main camera of 50 megapixels. For front-facing photos and video calls, the device features a 5-megapixel sensor.

The version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal space was announced for R$ 1.9 thousand. The R$ 300 difference between the two options corresponds to the increase in RAM and double the storage capacity.
