The Traditional Diva Meeting Brings Women From All Over The Country Together to Discuss Topics Related to Foreign Trade
A woman’s place is wherever she wants, including in foreign trade and logistics. Evidence of this is a recent study released by the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), which shows that 2.6 million jobs in companies involved in foreign trade, in 2019, were occupied by women. The percentage represented at the time 32.5% of the total jobs in these companies. Although there have been no studies related to recent years, the expectation is that in 2023 the percentage of women working in foreign trade and also in logistics will be 60%.
RêConectaNews is a News and Business portal in the area of foreign trade and logistics created to connect stakeholders from these areas through digital media and in-person events, targeting women as the primary audience. In addition to working on development and training in the area and generating qualified and personalized networking, the portal has been holding the “Diva Meeting” since 2017, an event held annually in various Brazilian cities that brings together hundreds of women to discuss topics related to both areas.
“It is a dynamic and light event, with practical activities, lectures, and moments of interaction among participants. We are gaining new markets with events in São Paulo and Santos held in recent months, and we already have several others planned,” explains the idealizer Renata Palmeira. The meetings include lectures on topics such as legislation, logistics, marketing, and finance; practical workshops covering subjects like negotiation, project management, and sales. It also provides networking opportunities, such as lunches, dinners, and cocktails; business rounds with companies; as well as access to a broad professional network in the area through the Diva Group.
