According to those responsible for the program in the UK, they also assess the willingness to apply the knowledge gained from the scholarships in their home country.
The selection process will be divided into two phases. In the first phase, the candidate will complete the application through the program’s website and fill out an online form with the courses they wish to take. Then, they must submit the required documentation, which includes diplomas, acceptance letters from universities, academic transcripts, and letters of recommendation.
In the second stage, candidates are invited for an interview in English at the British Embassy (in Brasília) or in cities with British consulates such as Porto Alegre, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
In the last cycle of the program, 50 Brazilians from 15 states will be selected. They will travel in September to study at 24 universities in the UK.
Advantages Of Studying In Other Countries
A study by researchers from the University of Florida and the University of South Georgia showed a positive relationship between multicultural experiences and creative cognition. The article compared groups that studied abroad with others who never left their home country.
The main conclusion was that multiculturalism stimulates the development of innovative solutions.
Other studies show that the final grades of graduates from Sheffield Law School who studied abroad for a year and those who did not have that experience indicate that internationalization strategies have a beneficial effect on overall academic performance. A great benefit is also the ability to learn other languages developed abroad.
