The Renault Grand Koleos is produced in South Korea, where it will be launched with the aim of exploring markets outside Europe. More than that, the new Renault SUV is one of the fruits of the partnership made between the French company and the Chinese Geely.
In practice, the Grand Koleos SUV is a Geely Monjaro with obvious modifications to meet Renault’s aesthetic requirements. Thus, it will be imported, with no possibility of local production.

Harley-Davidson created an entry-level motorcycle that seems impossible for those who only know the brand’s big bikes: the X440 uses a 440 cc single-cylinder engine, delivers 27 hp, 38 Nm, a declared fuel consumption of 35 km/l, and showcases a small, rational, and much more accessible Harley in India.

GAC Aion UT lands in Brazil for R$ 135,990 as the most affordable electric car in the country with over 200 hp, surpasses BYD Dolphin in size, features a 360 camera, and offers up to 310 km of range to challenge Chinese rivals.

Mitsubishi confirms the triumphant return of a car beloved by Brazilians that was discontinued after almost 40 years, based on the Triton, 4×4, and targets rival Toyota Land Cruiser in a plan of 13 SUVs.
The unit spotted here reveals the presence of a hybrid engine by the “E-TECH Hybrid” badge on the rear. The blue details on the grille (whose mesh seems to blend with the body) and on the bumpers do not enhance the hybrid mechanics; in fact, they show that this unit is from the Esprit Alpine version.
Alpine became Renault’s sports division in 2021, and the Grand Koleos SUV could mark the debut of the brand in Brazil. The Esprit Alpine is the top-of-the-line version of the midsize SUV, which also differs by its exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels. The cabin features dark finishes, blue stitching, and Alcantara parts. However, there is no sporty tuning in the Renault Grand Koleos.
New Renault SUV Delivers 245 HP Total
This is a plug-in hybrid, meaning its battery can be charged from external sources. The Grand Koleos SUV combines a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with two electric motors (one of which is solely a generator), totaling 245 HP.
The transmission of the Renault Grand Koleos is always a six-speed automatic, with front-wheel drive. A second engine option for more affordable versions is the 2.0 turbo with 211 HP, paired with a seven-speed automated transmission. However, this may not arrive in Brazil.
Another indication made by the sightings is that the new Renault SUV will not undergo any visual changes to arrive here. It will maintain the front with sharp headlights and full LED lighting, and a rear with taillights that span the entire trunk. In addition to the front grille, another significant difference from the original model, from Geely, is the license plate location: on the Renault, it is at the bumper.
Interior of the Grand Koleos SUV
The interior does not feature major extravagances and relies on a set of three 12.3-inch screens. One of them, the one in front of the passenger, may be deactivated upon arrival in Brazil due to local legislation.
Although it may seem small in the photos, the new Renault SUV is comparable in size to the Jeep Commander and Volkswagen Tiguan. It measures 4.78 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.82 m. Unlike the Jeep, however, the Renault has only five seats, ensuring a huge trunk of 633 liters.
It is important to note that the brand is advancing with its renewal plans for the South American market, strengthening strategic investments in the region. After the introduction of the Renault Kardian, the brand is now preparing to launch a midsize SUV, which is already in the testing phase in Brazil. The model will be manufactured based on the same modular RGMP platform, the same used by the Kardian, and will feature electrified versions.
