Rio de Janeiro Offers Over 1200 Slots in Free Online Courses

An Initiative of the Municipal Secretariat of Science and Technology, Together with the National Trade Learning Service (Senac) Carioca, Opened the Chance for People to Take Courses in the State. There Are 1,200 Open Positions in Free Courses via Rio On.

According to the secretariat, the digital learning platform is innovative and represents an unmissable opportunity for residents of Rio de Janeiro who want to enhance their skills in numerous areas, including technology, communication, and innovative entrepreneurship.

The courses offered, according to the department, were designed in a partnership aimed at promoting digital literacy and, furthermore, facilitating entry into the job market.

All in all, according to the secretariat, these courses last from eight to 60 hours, with classes being completely online, allowing students to learn at their own pace and according to their availability. Check out some of the open courses:

In the cold desert of Ladakh, where it hardly rains, engineer Sonam Wangchuk created the ice stupa, a tower that freezes winter water and stores it for irrigating crops in the spring, a simple engineering feat that mimics nature.
