Five Highways And A Strategic Branch In Acre Will Receive New Pavement, Bicycle Lanes And Improvements After Release Of Federal Funds Of R$ 29.5 Million.
The government of Acre received an important boost for infrastructure works on state roads. R$ 29.5 million were released for restoration and paving actions on highways connecting cities and rural communities in various regions of the state. This amount is part of a larger package of R$ 35 million allocated by the Ministry of Integration And Regional Development (MIDR).
Highways Will Receive Complete Improvements
The majority of the funds will be applied to the recovery of five highways: AC-10, AC-40, AC-90, AC-445, and AC-475. The objective is to improve traffic conditions, facilitate cargo transportation, and ensure more safety for drivers. According to the government, these roads are essential for regional integration and for the flow of local production.
The works will include new pavement and correction of sections worn out by time and heavy use. With the release of funds, the works are expected to pick up pace still this semester.

Branch Of The Paulistas Will Be Paved
In addition to the main highways, the investment also includes the paving of 10.6 kilometers of the Branch of the Paulistas, in Vila do V, in Porto Acre. The region has a strong presence of rural producers and isolated communities, which face access difficulties during the Amazon winter.
With the asphalt, the government aims to ensure mobility year-round, in addition to facilitating school transportation, access to public services, and the flow of agricultural products.
Cruzeiro Do Sul Will Have Structural Work On AC-405
Another important front will be the restoration of the AC-405 highway, in the section between Cruzeiro do Sul Airport and the junction with AC-407. The work will cover 10.3 kilometers and will include a new asphalt layer, implementation of bicycle lanes, roadside, and elevation of parts of the roadway.
According to the Department of Roads (Deracre), the improvement will benefit residents, tourists, and workers in the region. The highway is one of the main connections of the municipality with other productive areas of Juruá.
Investment Is The Result Of Parliamentary Amendment
All funds allocated for road infrastructure originate from a parliamentary amendment by Senator Marcio Bittar. The investment was coordinated with the federal government as part of an effort to expand the road network and meet long-standing demands of the population.
According to the government of Acre, these works are expected to contribute to regional development and improve access to essential services in various localities of the state.
