New SAMU Selection Process Is Open For Applications. Public Competition Offers Hundreds Of Positions For Intermediate To Higher Level Roles With Salaries Up To R$ 8 Thousand.
The Intermunicipal Consortium of Health of the Urgency Center South (CISRU), responsible for managing the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) in more than 50 municipalities in Minas Gerais, has just announced a new public competition. The selection process offers hundreds of positions distributed across 19 cities, catering to candidates with intermediate, technical, and higher education. Opportunities encompass various essential roles in emergency and urgent care, with competitive salaries, attractive benefits, and the chance to be part of one of the most important public health networks in the state. This competition reinforces CISRU’s commitment to expanding and strengthening the services provided by SAMU to the population of Minas Gerais.

Distributed among administrative and operational sectors, the positions in the SAMU selection process offer salaries ranging from R$ 1,412 to R$ 8,419.22. In addition to Barbacena, where the headquarters is located, there are SAMU positions at the bases in:

Intermediate Level

Those interested in the public competition must be natural-born or naturalized Brazilian citizens, or in the case of Portuguese nationality, must be supported by the Equality Statute between Brazilians and Portuguese, be in good standing with political rights, be up to date with electoral obligations, be up to date with military obligations, for male candidates, be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring, and at least 21 years old in the case of Rescue Driver.
Learn How To Apply For The SAMU Selection Process
The application period for the public competition for positions in SAMU is from January 6 to February 4, 2025. To compete, interested parties must register on the IBGP Concursos website, the organizing body of the SAMU selection process. The fees range from R$ 45 to R$ 200, depending on the chosen role.
Scheduled for March 23 in Barbacena, the objective test will require answering 30 multiple-choice questions in a maximum of two and a half hours. The questions in the public competition will cover topics related to the Portuguese language, SAMU regulations, and specific knowledge.
Without defined dates yet, the other stages of the public competition include title evaluations for higher-level positions at SAMU and practical examinations for the roles of rescuer, nursing technician, nurse, and physician.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU 192) is one of the components of the National Policy for Emergencies of the Ministry of Health and is part of the Mobile Pre-Hospital Care Network for emergency services.
The SAMU service in emergency cases is characterized by the early search for the victim after an incident affecting their health, whether clinical, surgical, traumatic, or psychiatric in nature.
This type of care reduces or avoids the worsening of the victim’s condition, preventing sequelae, suffering, or even death, through adequate care or transport. SAMU is free of charge and operates 24 hours a day by providing guidance and dispatching vehicles staffed by trained teams.
