A company surprised by launching smart glasses equipped with OpenAI's powerful GPT-4 AI, promising to transform interaction and everyday life with cutting-edge technology.

Solos, an American technology company, has entered the smart glasses with the AirGo Vision, an innovative alternative to Mark Zuckerberg's Meta Ray-Bans. The product It is sold in the United States for US$299, promising to offer functionality and design that challenge the competition's monopoly.

AI-powered OpenAI's GPT-4, The devices promise to make users' lives easier in innovative ways.

Advanced AI-powered features

AirGo Vision isn’t just a smart glass; it’s a visual assistant. Thanks to its AI integration, it can identify objects, translate text in real time, and provide detailed information about people or places captured by the camera.

This makes the device useful for tourists, professionals, and tech enthusiasts alike. Additionally, the glasses can also provide directions to nearby landmarks, extending their usefulness in everyday life.

One differentiator is its compatibility with other AI models, such as Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. This gives users more freedom to customize their technology experiences, something Solos has been highlighting since the AirGo Vision launched in June.

Modular design and privacy

Design is one of the AirGo Vision’s strong points. Solos has invested in an interchangeable frame system that allows the user to decide when to use the camera. Kenneth Fan, co-founder of Solos, highlighted this approach: “We promise consumers more control over their experience with AI and intelligent technologies, especially when it comes to privacy."

The frames have built-in batteries and touch sensors on the hinges, which are rechargeable via USB-C. There is also an audio-only option, ideal for those who want to disconnect from the camera function without giving up connectivity.

Variety and prices

The AirGo Vision comes in seven colors and two styles: Krypton 1 and Krypton 2. The Krypton 1 has a chunky, square design, while the Krypton 2 has slimmer, more understated lines. Solos also offers flexible purchase options. The frame without a camera costs $149, while a set that includes a camera frame and a regular frame costs $349.

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta Ray-Bans already dominate the smart glasses market, but the AirGo Vision arrives with important differences.

In addition to similar functionality like on-demand photo capture, Solos' glasses add a layer of customization and flexibility that could appeal to a wider audience.

With a competitive price, advanced features and a focus on user privacy, AirGo Vision represents a significant evolution in the smart glasses market.

The arrival of this competitor is a clear sign that wearable technology is maturing, bringing more options to consumers. The future of this competition promises even more impactful innovations.
