New opportunities for free English courses in Maranhão
The Secretary of State for Education (Seduc), through the Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão (IEMA), opened 3 places for free distance learning English courses, which will be offered through the Lema Idiomas unit. Registration for the free courses made available by IEMA, which started this Monday (22nd) and will continue until March 28th, are intended for people aged at least 13 years, attending Elementary School II.

This is yet another initiative that integrates the Professionalized Maranhão, a program created by the Government of the State of Maranhão, with the aim of minimizing the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which plans to offer, in 2021, more than 30 professional qualification vacancies in free courses and workshops for people from the most different regions of the state of Maranhão.
Enrollment for free English courses offered by IEMA and SEDUC is completely online. To register, the candidate must register in the system, informing his CPF, e-mail and create an access password and, after that, fill out the electronic registration form available in the system, and send it together with copies of the Card Identity Card and CPF.

Number of vacancies for the English course offered by IEMA and SEDUC
In all, three thousand vacancies are being offered by IEMA for the English course for the first half of this year, as follows: 1.500 vacancies for the Basic Module I; 500 vacancies for the Basic Module II; 500 vacancies for Basic Module III; and 500 vacancies for the Basic Module IV.
Enrollment for the free English courses will be carried out exclusively online, from 8:31 am on March 23st to 04:XNUMX pm on April XNUMXth, also through the system available on the motto's website. Students who, upon registration, do not opt for vacancies in the Basic Module I, must answer a placement test in English to define the Module/Level to be enrolled (Basic II, III, or IV).
