The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amapá (IFAP) has just launched public notice No. 02/2024 for the hiring of substitute teachers. There are 12 vacancies available in areas such as computer science, history, veterinary medicine, geography, among others. The vacancies are located in various campuses, including Macapá, Laranjal do Jari, Porto Grande, and Oiapoque. The remuneration can reach R$ 7,356.02, depending on the candidate’s qualifications. All positions require a minimum of a degree in the specific area. The selected candidates may be allocated for both in-person and distance learning activities, depending on the demand of each campus.
Who Can Participate in the Exam?
Candidates who meet the minimum requirements described in the public notice may apply. Among the criteria is the requirement of a diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and physical and mental fitness for the position. It is worth noting that the hiring aims to meet the emergency demand for teachers at IFAP, and therefore, the process will be conducted in a simplified manner.
In addition, there is a 5% reserve of vacancies for candidates with disabilities, ensuring inclusion and equality of opportunities. The selection process is open to all Brazilians who meet the established requirements in the notice, and there is an exemption from the registration fee for low-income candidates or bone marrow donors, as described in the regulations.
How Will the Selection Process Be?
The selection process will consist of two phases: the Teaching Performance Test and the Title Evaluation. The first stage will consist of an expository class, with a minimum duration of 20 minutes and a maximum of 25 minutes, to be held in person at the Macapá Campus. The topic of the class will be drawn beforehand, and candidates will be evaluated by a committee composed of three evaluators. The title evaluation will assess the academic qualifications and professional experience of the candidate.
