Partnership Offers Free Professional Training for Young Residents of Serra (ES); Applications Open Until August 15.
The Senai and ArcelorMittal announced the opening of 150 positions for free technical courses in Serra, Espírito Santo. The initiative is part of the Young Apprentice Program 2026/1, aimed at training young people for the job market through qualified technical education. Applications will remain open until August 15.
The courses offered by Senai and ArcelorMittal will take place at Senai Civit, with classes combining theory and practice through the DUAL model, allowing participants to experience the professional environment directly at ArcelorMittal facilities in Serra. The action seeks to boost productive and professional inclusion in the region, increasing employability chances among youth.
What Are the Available Courses and Positions?
The available free technical courses are divided into four specific areas, all with high demand in the industrial market:

Petrobras and SENAI open 480 spots in free technical courses with a scholarship of up to R$ 858, meal allowance, and training in Mechanics, Welding, Metallurgy, and Industrial Automation to meet the growing demand of the industry and the oil and gas sector.
- Mechanical Technician: 30 positions (morning period).
- Electrotechnical Technician: 30 positions (afternoon period).
- Metallurgy Technician: 60 positions (30 in the morning and 30 in the afternoon).
- Logistics Technician: 30 positions (morning period).
Classes are set to begin on February 4, 2026.
Who Can Participate in the Free Technical Courses?
The positions are exclusively for young residents of the city of Serra who meet the following criteria:
- Born between 02/05/2008 and 02/05/2009;
- Enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school at a public school (or have already graduated, as long as not as a scholarship student from a private school);
- Have an active registration with the SINE of Serra;
- Not have prior experience recorded as a young apprentice;
- Prove a family income of up to three minimum wages;
- Not be a child or stepchild of an employee of ArcelorMittal Brasil S/A.
How Does the Selection Process Work?
The selection process of the partnership between Senai and ArcelorMittal will take place in stages, including:
- Online exam (08/31/2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM);
- Behavioral profile assessment;
- Medical exams;
- Document submission.
